VOCABULARY: PERSONALITY (4ºESO)

Hi guys! 

English has a wide variety of adjectives related to personality. It's time to expand our vocabulary. Keeping an eye on this blog! Hi guys! How are you? On last 25 February, the Brit Awards held The 02 Arena in London. They are the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards and the British equivalent of the American Grammy Awards. If you want to know more about these awards, you can visit its offical website here.
This month our artist is Ed Sheeran. He has just triumphed in the Brit Awards, winning two of them, best album and best British male artist solo. Thus, we are going to work about his last song: Thinking Out Loud.

ACTIVITY: DISCOVERING BBC HOMEPAGE (4º ESO)




 Hi!! Today we're going to talk about media.

As you know, BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is a UK- based public – service broadcaster. It’s the world’s oldest national broadcasting organization. To find more general information about BBC you can visit its Wikipedia page here.

EXERCISE AND INSTRUCTIONS:

1º You have to visit the official webpage of BBC here. There, you can take a look of what offers this website.
2º You have to click on News Section here. There, you have to choose a pair of news that you find interesting.

3º Then, you have to read it carefully. Doing a comprehensive reading. 

4º Make a summary of the news. You have to write the summary in a Word Document.  Times New Roman 12 .Double space. Minimum: 110 words. Maximum: 150. Don’t forget to write down the link of your news in your document.

GAME: SCATTERGORIES (2º ESO Agrupamento)

Hi!! Today, we're going to play a game called: Scattergories. This game is very useful to improve our vocabulary.

How to play?

INSTRUCTIONS:

You have to download the word document which is in your right side: "Game: Scattergories 2º ESO". You have to click on "Click here!".

There is a board with the following categories: Jobs - Food- Transport-Animals- Clothes- Parts the body- Verbs- Adjectives- Country- Tv Programme. Then in the left side, there is a list of letters.

You have to write a word in each category. Each word has to start with the same letter which is chosen.

You only have two minutes to complete the row and you CANNOT use any dicctionary.

Once the time finishes, we have to start a round table to know our scores. 

Scores:

-A correct word, you will get 10 points.
-A wrong word, you will get 0 points.
-A repeated word, you will get 5 points.
